Amateur Radio Reviews

I’ve been reading online about some of the new radios that are appearing for Amateur use, mostly from China, but also some from our tried-and-true YaeComWood vendors.  I’ve decided that I want to start writing reviews here on this blog.

My main focus is going to be reviewing the Chinese radios, simply because most of the talk that I hear about them, at least locally, is that they aren’t any good.  Well, to be honest, I hear both good and bad, but everyone is skeptical.  Not that I blame them at all, I am skeptical myself.

So far I only own 3 radios:

  1. Wouxun KG-UVD1P HT
  2. Tonfa UV-985 HT
  3. TYT TH-9000 Mobile

I’ll soon be writing reviews for these radios, but I want to write reviews for others also.

If anyone HAS any radios that you would allow me to borrow for a short time, to test and review, please comment here.  If you have written a review yourself, and would like to post it here, I can allow you to post as a guest poster.  Honestly, I would like to find 1-3 guest posters who can post on a normal basis about anything at all.

I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in posting or commenting on the posts I make.
