A few weeks ago I learned about a new Net on Friday nights on the 1.25-meter band. The purpose of this Net is to get people interested in 1.25-meters (220MHz) and to keep the band alive.
Last night I checked into this Net for the 2nd time. Friday nights are somewhat difficult for me due to my hectic schedule and also some traveling during the Summer, but I made the net 2 or 3 weeks ago, then I was able to make it again last night. In total there were only about 5 check-ins last night, but 3 of us stayed on and held a 20+ minute QSO for a short time after the Net closed. It was the most active I have ever been on 220, and I really enjoyed it.
Listed below are the current active repeaters on the 1.25-meter band in the DFW area. There might be more, but these are the ones I have confirmed. Lots of the information on repeaterbook is outdated and I have been working to clean that up a bit also. The Friday night Net is held on 224.78 pl110.9. If you have 220 capability, please drop by and join the Net next Friday night.
